SAM 2025

Submissions

Paper submission

SAM 2025 welcomes academic and industrial submissions in the following categories:
  • Full papers (max 10 pages) must describe significant, original, and unpublished results related to, but not limited to, any SAM-related topics.
  • Short papers (max 6 pages) are insightful contributions on SAM-relevant topics, such as preliminary and initial research results for which a complete evaluation has not yet been performed.

We also encourage submitting (full or short) papers that describe negative results and replication studies. These papers advance knowledge by allowing us to (re)evaluate our understanding of the current approaches continuously.

The page limit includes figures and appendices. Up to two (2) more pages containing only references are allowed.

Submission Policy

The SAM 2025 proceedings will be published by IEEE and included in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.

We ask all authors to obtain an ORCID to complete the publishing process for their accepted paper. IEEE has been involved in ORCID from the start and has committed to collecting ORCID from our published authors. IEEE is committed to improving author discoverability, ensuring proper attribution, and contributing to ongoing community efforts around name normalization; your ORCID will help in these efforts.

At least three reviewers will evaluate each submitted paper based on significance, originality, substance, correctness, and clarity.

Accepted papers must be presented in person at SAM 2025 by an author present at the conference.

The program committee chairs and members will select one of the presented papers for a Best Paper Award. The best SAM 2025 papers will be invited to submit an extension of their work to Innovations in Systems and Software Engineering ISSE NASA Journal published by Springer.

Submission Instructions

The SAM 2025 proceedings were to be published by IEEE. Please follow the instructions below:
  • All submissions must conform to SAM 2025 formatting instructions and must not exceed 10 pages for full papers and 6 pages for short papers (excluding references). The page limit is strict, and it is not possible to purchase additional pages.
  • All submissions had to be in PDF and made through the SAM 2025 Easychair web page.
  • Formatting instructions are available at IEEE Proceedings Template for both LaTeX and Word users. LaTeX users must enable the conference format.
  • By submitting to SAM2025, authors acknowledge that they are aware of and agree to be bound by the IEEE Author Rights and Responsibilities. In particular, papers submitted to SAM 2025 must not have been published elsewhere and must not be under review or submitted for review elsewhere while under consideration for SAM 2025.
  • IEEE requires the use of ORCIDs. LaTeX users should use the "orcidlink" package, \hypersetup{pdfborder={0 0 0}}, and \orcidlink{XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX} after each author name.
